Solid wood construction with high quality veneered plywood for the shelves.  It is available in a stained, painted for combination finish.  The top can be done in a seamless or planked style.  Poplar is the default wood choice for a painted base with your  choice of wood for the top.  Photos shown in a kona stained finish.
